Volunteers of Sustainable PH Youth (SPY) recently attended SPY Dive!, a one-day Introduction to Diving course organized in partnership with the PADI-certified Davao Gulf Divers (DGD) group. Held at the Davao Gulf, the open-water ocean exploration activity had volunteers dive around 7-10 feet to view the coral nursery planted by the DGD several years ago. Participants noted that even if the corals were not fully grown yet, they were already drawing in different species of fish and marine life back to the once-barren area.
