Youth-led organization sells masks by local mouth painter for charity

Non-profit youthgroup Easel Organization recently launched its first fundraiser, selling cloth masks designed by Julius Tongco at P199 each. Because of the overwhelming support the goal to raise P50,000 has been reached, which will help support Tongco and The Heart at Play Foundation. 

The masks are available for purchase until the first week of June. Message Easel Organization’s Facebook or Instagram pages for orders.

Tongco is a Filipino mouth painter whose works on nature leave viewers awed and inspired. A diving accident in 2004 injured his spinal cord and rendered him paralyzed from his shoulders down. During a visit to an orthopedic hospital, a chance encounter with a mouth painter changed his life for good. Tongco is a scholar under the Association of Mouth & Foot Painting Artists (Philippines).

The Heart at Play Foundation is a non-profit organization that advocates for the empowerment, inclusion, and support of Persons With Special Needs (PWSN).
