School spirit reigns in the 55th WNCAA Cheerleading Competition

Much anticipated event happens March 16, 2025

The 55th WNCAA Season ends in a high note with the much-awaited cheerleading competition set for Sunday March 16th, 2025, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

                The Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) is the only all-women’s collegiate league in the country and the only athletic league with a tri-level division: Midgets, Juniors and Seniors division. And the league’s cheerleading competition is the highlight, drawing supporters from the league’s 16-member schools:

  • Assumption College San Lorenzo
  • Assumption Antipolo
  • Centro Escolar University
  • Chiang Kai Shek College
  • De La Salle Zobel
  • La Salle College Antipolo
  • Miriam College
  • Philippine Women’s University
  • Saint Jude Catholic School
  • San Beda College Alabang
  • St. Paul College Pasig
  • St. Scholastica’s College Manila
  • St. Stephen’s High School
  • University of Asia and the Pacific
  • University of Makati
  • UST- Angelicum College

For the upcoming competition there would be two divisions—the Juniors and Seniors divisions. Last season’s competition which happened in Chiang Kai Shek College stadium, St. Paul College Pasig were hailed champions in the Juniors Division and University of Asia and the Pacific in the Senior’s Division.

As we wait for the new set of cheer champions, here are some highlights from last season’s competition.

The WNCAA Cheerleading Competition not only highlights each team’s prowess in stunts, pyramids and techniques, but the competition is also a celebration of each member school’s distinct culture, traditions and school colors. And perhaps as a new WNCAA tradition, member schools get to showcase their school’s unique cheers as a halftime intermission.
