Senior and Junior high school students launch donation efforts for typhoon victims
In the wake of typhoons Rolly and Ulysses, distance learning in the National Capital Region and other provinces in Luzon has been heavily disrupted. Also, thousands of families are in dire need of help. As an educational institution driven by its commitment to Benedictine values, the senior high school and junior high school students of San Beda College Alabang, specifically the the Commission on Social Action in the Environment (COSAE), the Central Student Government (CSG), and the Student Executive Board (SEB) have organized a donation drive.
“Bukas Palad” is a donation drive that aims to support the affected families in Bicol, Cagayan Valley, and Marikina—the most heavily affected areas after the typhoons destroyed homes, buildings and cut off basic supplies.
You can donate to the victims of the typhoons that hit the Philippines in a span of only two weeks. You can donate basic necessitiessuch as food, clothing, hygiene products and emergency kit items or cash. (At least P150,000 is needed to help rebuild loves.)
This donation drive reinforces San Beda College Alabang’s commitment, driven by its Benedictine principles of assisting others, especially in crises.
