A group of high school friends decide to form a band and this is their story
SteadyAim’s music is deeply rooted in real experiences, raw emotions, and spontaneous late-night thoughts—emotions that many listeners might find very relatable, especially for high school students like us. Our sound blends various influences, primarily alternative rock, with touches of emo, J-rock, and other genres. While our style evolves, our core remains distinctly alt-rock.
Another aim of our music is to keep rock alive here in the Philippines and to keep the culture alive for future generations to cherish.
Our band draws inspiration from life itself, its chaos, struggles, and unexpected turns. Personal battles, especially those tied to relationships, shape our songwriting.

SteadyAim was formed in June 2022. It started when our lead guitarist and vocalist, Miguel Beluso, invited our then-bassist to a jam session. After the session, the idea of forming a band came naturally.
We began looking for members, starting with a rhythm guitarist. Eventually, Prince Quintero joined as rhythm guitarist we watched him play on social media.
Finding a drummer was difficult at the time, but through the connection of our former bassist, we met Hans Soriano.
Our first jam session was awkward; we were introverts, but it marked the beginning of something promising.
Over time, however, we noticed a shift in our original bassist’s commitment. He stopped attending practices and distanced himself from the band’s efforts. After repeated discussions and his continued threats to quit, we decided it was time for a change.
During one of our jam sessions, we asked Prince if he knew any bassists—and that was when we discovered Aedan De Guzman. Ironically, Aedan was already in another band with Prince (Over The Horizon), but he still agreed to join. Our chemistry was instant—his second session with us sealed the deal.
Each member joined through an organic connection: Hans (drummer) through our former bassist, Prince (rhythm guitarist) through a social media post, and Aedan (bassist) through Prince’s other band Over The Horizon.
SteadyAim is composed of four members, though we originally planned for five, back when our lead guitarist had no plans of singing:
Miguel Beluso, 17 – Lead Guitar and Vocals, Kings Montessori School, QC
Prince Quintero, 16 – Rhythm Guitarist, San Beda College Alabang
Aedan De Guzman, 16 – Bassist, San Beda College Alabang
Hans Soriano, 16 – Drummer, University of Perpetual Help, Las Piñas
Writing lyrics is a slow but deliberate process for us. It can take us anywhere from 30 minutes to an entire week just to find the right word for a line. The real challenge for us is in recording, any mistake requires starting over. Songwriting for us often involves scratching out lines and rewriting until everything fits just right.
Our current project is focused on creating songs that connect with a wider audience, relatable, emotional tracks that listeners can sing along to. We’re crafting songs for every mood: rainy days, romantic getaways, heartbreak, and nostalgia.

Our first single which is now available in Spotify entitled, “Dating Multo” is about a couple in an on-and-off relationship, but now everything is in the pasts and it haunts them, hence the title.
The chorus, “Hindi na magbabago, kung mababasag lang puso ko, hindi na mangangako sa ating dating mga multo,” shows an emotional turning point, the person refuses to change or make promises based on what they had in the past. That “dating multo” symbolizes a version of their relationship that’s already dead.
All our upcoming tracks are tied together by a single storyline—our first album follows a couple torn apart by fate. Our upcoming second single, “Eroplano“, is situated after years of being in love, the girl moves abroad, leaving behind their dreams and promises. Years later, she returns to the country for a high school reunion. The man, still haunted by the past, is forced to stay composed. At the party, they reconnect, talk like old friends, reminisce as former lovers, and eventually the girl asks, “Do you want to try again?” The answer? That remains a secret. You’ll have to listen to the album to find out.
